Fruits of the Spirit
Acts 16: 30-33: "And brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake to unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was baptized, he and all his straightway."
Jesus died for us!
How do you recognize a Christian? By his/her 'fruits.' Christians do not act in unChristian-like ways. That simple. Galations 5:2-26, Galations 6:2-4: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such, there is no law, and they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Galations 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. "
I have created this forum so that we may praise the Lord, love each other, discuss scripture, talk about issues, support each other and, hopefully, reach anyone who visits who is lost and share the good news, the gospel. I did not create it to argue, to 'run down' other brothers and sisters, to 'bash' anyone or any other faith. There are plenty of places (maybe too many?) on the internet if that is your interest.
As your host, I will 'moderate' the forum but I will not act as 'censor.' As long as you do not use profanity, do not post any offensive (i.e., pornography) material and do not insult God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, we will get along fine. : ) I enjoy a lively debate as well as the next one. Opinions are opinions, interpretations are interpretations, truth is truth. Let's not try to mix up the three. Otherwise, enjoy! I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope we share many wonderful discussions.
Let us teach in love. We are all God's children, and everyone wants to be loved.
I am a and proud of it. : ) I do not, however, 'bash' other denominations. That does not mean I agree with them. If others are in error, show them, with love, where they err by using God's Word. Save the name calling, harsh rebukes, rude behavior for another place and time.
God's Word will stand forever. Praise His holy name.
